Catherine (Katie) Auriemma, MD, MSHP is an Instructor in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and a Department of Medicine Measey Physician-Scientist Fellow. Her work focuses on improving the value of serious illness care by better aligning interventions with the values and preferences of patients and their families. She works to develop and validate patient- and family-centered outcomes for studies of critically and seriously ill populations. Her work has been featured in JAMA Internal Medicine, JAMA Network Open, Intensive Care Medicine, and The American Journal of Critical Care.

Dr. Auriemma received her medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of California, San Francisco, where she subsequently served as Chief Resident at Moffitt-Long Hospital. She received her Master’s degree in Health Policy Research at Penn.
