<p>Samuel Clark's research is in the areas of demography and health. The goal is to improve measurement and understanding of interacting population and health issues affecting Africa and other parts of the developing world. This involves developing new effcient,&nbsp; feasible methods to measure population and health&nbsp; indicators; development of new methods to ascertain cause of death; and a variety of observational studies to describe and document the epi-demographic transition in Africa. This work draws on expertise in demography, statistics/biostatistics, computer science, epidemiology, sociology, and linguistics.</p>
